Duxbury is at Watford now. They're flourishing!

Re: Interesting article on Savio Nsereko
He was an excellent player and no matter how much money we spent on him, it didn't give West Ham the right to ruin his career. If only the project was given more time.

Re: Interesting article on Savio Nsereko
To be fair to Savio he played in some international Youth comp and was pretty good by all accounts. For Germany too. He must have had some talent. Hardly like Duxbury and Nani made it all up, or got the German FA and Under 19's or whatever to pretend he was a footballer for a while before we signed him in some dodgy deal.

I can't believe what happened to him next though. How can you go from Germany youth teams, given a number 10 shirt at West Ham signing for £9million (if he reached the appearances and whatever else) to a complete nobody in such a short space of time. He must be a nutty geezer. There's stories of depression and a kidnap plot...crazy stuff.

I didn't mind the PROJECT idea as it goes. Good idea. Apart from the fact you need to be a pretty good judge of footballer to make it happen. NOUBLE. Few youtube clips of a 6ft 3 black geezer bundling his way past youth teams and everyone thought he'd make it too under the PROJECT....whatever happened to him?!

Re: Interesting article on Savio Nsereko
Champ Man players - does anyone buy this guy and do you get anything out of him?

Just a thought - is it possible to go into the games back room and create a team of all of west hams shite signings over the last few years and see how they get on?

Eddie B, I am a tad disappointed that you didn't even manage to Eddie B the article. As WHO still hasn't evolved enough to use clickable links, I haven't read it. Sure it's good though X

Re: Interesting article on Savio Nsereko
Very odd transfer.

To be fair, his career up to signing for us had been at least a little promising.

German youth international and had played regularly in Serie B. Granted, not greatest resume but much better than how his career played out in the end.

Re: Interesting article on Savio Nsereko
I vaguely remember in his first or second appearance, he did something special and ALMOST scored a great goal....it hit the bar, or went just over, or something, but there was an idea that there might be a player there.......that was the first, last and only highlight for us.

Who knows? Had it gone in, he might have.......naaah, he was always weak in body and cearly mind. Lost his bottle completely, never to be found again.

Here's the only goal he's scored since he signed for us......

Re: Interesting article on Savio Nsereko
He was shit, we realised it very quickly and flogged him to Fiorentina for Da Costa plus cash.

If only we'd been clever enough to take a small early hit on flop players over the years like that.
